What kind of quality and condition do we accept for resale items? All items brought in for resale must be clean and in excellent condition. The merchandise must be brought in without stains, rips, or too worn. Shoes may have some wear but still be of good use. All items must be dropped off clean, folded in a small shopping bag. Items must “in season” according to our schedule. All baby gear or equipment must be brought in with all the necessary pieces and in working order with instruction manuals if available. Battery operated items must have new batteries installed.

How much clothing do we accept per consignor? We are currently accepting one shopping bag every two weeks per consignor. Merchandise in trash bags or boxes will not be accepted. We appreciate our consignor’s cooperation as it helps us process bags in a timely manner.

What if my items do not sell? Using our experience and research we will price your items fairly and for immediate sale. If an item does not sell with in 90 days, we will mark them down at 50% off for a 2 week period. While we do not encourage consignors coming back for their items, the “sale” week would be the time to come in.

How do I know when my items sell? We offer an online service that allows our consignors to view their account, once the items have sold. The website is myresaleweb.com, you need your consignor number, last name and store name (The Children’s Exchange) to view any activity.

How do payments work? You may use your sales profit as a store credit or pick up a check. If profits are left in your account for a period exceeding 6 months, they can only be used as a store credit.

We are more than happy to answer any questions you may have!
